Q. When will we get our photos?
Your photographs will be available for proofing and ordering at a consultation scheduled four to six weeks from the date of your session. At that time, you will select the photographs you wish to have printed with or without your choice of framing option. Our fine art prints are individually hand edited, reviewed and inspected for quality control. This process takes time but is necessary to ensure you receive the best product for your investment.
If a rush order is needed, please request this at the time of booking so I can ensure I can meet your needs.
Q. Do you only shoot outdoors on location? What if it rains?
I shoot where you live and play, whether it be indoors or out. During your pre-session consultation, we determine a location that expresses your personal style. I do not practice backdrop & prop studio photography by choice– I only utilize elements found on location.
Overcast days make for the best light money can’t buy. In the event of a downpour, we will explore alternate locations, or determine if rescheduling is warranted. Every available avenue will be considered prior to rescheduling the session.
Q. My house isn’t very fancy or new? Should we shoot there?
A house doesn’t make a home. Do not be concerned with the cosmetic appearances of your home. I specifically shoot in a manner that does not focus on the background, leaving the emphasis on my subjects. That being said, I highly recommend picking up before I arrive, even if it is just throwing things into a spare bedroom. I promise I won’t look or judge. 😉
Q. What are archival framed photographs?
Archival photographs are printed and framed with high-quality, acid-free paper, 100% cotton rag mat boards, and UV Filter glass to preserve the life of the photograph. Not only do they look amazingly sleek and luxurious, they work hard to protect your photos from natural elements such as humidity, condensation, acids, and light break down and destroy photographs over the years. My first-class, white-glove finishing service ensures your memories are well-preserved for your future generations to cherish.
Q. Can we get digital files?
Every print you purchase comes with the digital file for social media and reprinting.
Q. I saw this photograph on Pinterest; can you shoot this?
One of the many things I love about photography is it capture a moment in time – one 1/8000 second of this wonderful life we are given. While I welcome Pinterest images for inspiration, I do not recreate photographs. The reason? I’m photographing YOU – your brilliant personality, your beautiful faces, and your wonderful life as it happens in your own personal 1/8000 second.
